MEDICAL & EYESIGHT

After all of the recruitment & selection tests have been completed and the outcome of your interview is known, appointments will be made for you to undergo an eyesight and medical examination.

Eyesight

The Optician will asses eyesight to a certain standard and each case is reviewed by the Fire & Rescue Service Medical Advisor.

Medical

You will also be invited to attend our Occupational Unit for a medical examination, which will be carried out by the and Fire & Rescue Service Medical Advisor.

If you have any concerns about any existing eye defects or if you wear glasses/contact lenses or if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, you can discuss this in confidence with our Occupational Health Advisor (01249) 443159.
