NUMBER OF CALLS

One of the most commonly asked questions is "How often will I be called out"?

It is important that you have some idea of this, as you may need to talk to your family or employer before making the decision to apply.

When you are called out to an incident it's because you really are needed!

The table that follows will give you an idea of calls based on an overage of recent years.

The column 'Average calls per year' relates only to stations where the retained firefighters are not called in for all incidents due to full time crewing.

The column 'Average Number of calls, weekdays' is provided so that you can work out the likely impact on your employer if you are considering asking for permission to respond from work.
