SALARY INFORMATION & ANNUAL LEAVE Salaries are paid monthly by bank transfer. It comprises of the following :-
ANNUAL LEAVE The annual leave year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Firefighters have four weeks (28 days) paid leave per year rising to 5 weeks (35) days) after 5 years service. N.B. Progression to development rate is achieved following successful completion of the Phase One training modules - 10 day Basic Skills Course, 10 day Breathing Apparatus Course and 5 day Road Traffic Collision Course. The aim is to complete these modules in as short a time frame as possible - no longer than nine months from the commencement of training. Progression to competent rate is achieved after successful completion of all relevant modules within the Integrated Personal Development System (IPDS).
